YouTube has been shortlisted alongside five other fantastic music sites as The Best Place To Hear Music by the BT Digital Music Awards. So, if the thought of us in full awards garb making a hash of our acceptance speech appeals, head to the BT DMA site and get voting, as the winner will be decided by you, the Great British Public.
Alongside us on the shortlist are BBC 6Music, Last.fm, MySpace, SoundCloud and Spotify, so competition looks set to be fierce.
Happily, the Digital Music Awards extend a little further than just music services and you can also make your mark on categories including Best Male, Best Female, Best Newcomer and Best Song.

The irony is...it may possibly be because of people uploading copyrighted content without permission (which Youtube still hasn't quite gotten blocking 100%) besides the actual record labels and artists that it's one of the best places to hear music....
