I think it's far better. The old one was a bit too messy. This one is far Cleaner and feels more Efficient. It's easier to use and to access the things I want. Gratz.
Grr, now thanks to the design change, I can no longer scrobble videos I listen to to my last.fm profile using the Greasemonkey script. Thanks Youtube(!).
I like it. It's cleaner and more simple. However I do think that the Upload link should be a yellow button like before. Perhaps change the font colour to yellow or red? That way it retains the simple design but stands out more.
While you were at it you could have given us the option to remove the "featured videos" section on the homepage, I as well as other users don't watch these and it would help improve performance so much more if we were able to take it off.
I do agree it looks like crappy old HTML that some armature has made in 2 seconds, no design work put in at all truly disgraceful.
And it's harder to see "My videos" section, the old design it was just one click now I have to go through 2 clicks, seems small but trust me it's annoying.

RTC factor going sky high here. This isn't the final version they are adding customisation options. Personally I will probably leave it as is though.
