Oh, Jesus. And it's not even truly customizable. I mean, if you're going to turn the featured section into nothing more than a constant, random stream of promotional GARBAGE, why not at least give us the option to view it up to down, as opposed to this barbaric left to right scheme that you just changed it to for no apparent reason.

And the way Spotlight is now another form of advertisement is really letting it go.

These days, it's all about YouTube making money and screwing over the people who helped make it popular in favour of big companies. Essential things are being ignored. Even the fucking video uploader isn't working properly; I've been uploading the same HD video for over 10 hours, failing EACH TIME. It actually worked when I uploaded a private HD test video, and then failed forever after. I wouldn't be surprised if YouTube was boycotted in the future.
I think it was a mistake changing the spotlight videos. Being 'featured' was a big part of the youtube experience and viewers could rely on finding an interesting user video on the homepage. With the new themed 'spotlight' users get less exposure as so far all I have seen is Britains got Talent, the news, and Earth day! Bring back the featured videos of the old times please when the best and most interesting user generated videos could be discovered on the homepage instead of just an excuse to advertise / promote something! I'm fine with all the ads and new tv shows etc just the featured videos going has made me sad!

the old page was much better, i miss the changing line at the top of the page of 'being watched now vids' (its now a stupid box with one vid in big) and what use is the other stuff, instead of waisting time, please devote it to the veiw count mess
Losing the Featured or Spotlight video section was, in my opinion a mistake, I am sure you could have found room for it among all the other new stuff. I really hope you consider putting it back.
